Wow, you do an incredible Mignola impression.
There's something about the flare at the end of the sword that's very true to his style, it's random but it also looks 'right' somehow.

If it does look like that, the rightness, it is because I am biting that off Mignola too. That to me is the hallmark of what he does. Just enough detail where it needs to be, the right amount of areas without high detail always feels right to me. Even his bubble placement really conveys that "rightness". So if I caught any part of that then I am overjoyed to hear it :)

It takes flair to do, his style looks effortless but it's just because he understands composition inside-out. I'm impressed, you may be copying his style here but it takes skill and a good eye to wield it well.

hahaha that reminds me of a story about a designer who's name I can't pull right now who did a logo for a company (nike i think) by walking in and drawing 1 line (the swoosh) and telling them that was their logo. When they said "are you serious, we just paid you 10,000 dollars for 1 line." he responded "no, you paid me 1 dollar for that line and the rest for the 9,999 lines I drew before this one." It really is an example of how something simple and effortless looking really is the product of someone who knows what they are doing, and Mignola is definitely one of those :)
