Yeah these comics are pretty sweet. It's good to see non-manga comics on here. I especially like how you use the neutral colors.

You know it is funny I find I get put into the manga and not manga categories all the time. I don't particularly care but I have many people tell me they like what I do because it is not a manga style but then I submit to the comic creators group and they put Deep Down into they manga gallery :S It is an interesting line to be dancing back and forth on :)

Oh my bad dude. I didn't mean anything bad by it. It's just that I see alot of manga and anime comics on here. I rarely see like an ordinary comic strip, graphic novel, or comic book on here. Yours is pretty neat. I absolutley love the cartoon style and the use of the neutral colors.

Oh and another funny thing. My style isn't exactly an anime style, but people always ask me if it is or isn't.= )I consider my like a blend of realism and fantasy.

BTW are you going to publish your comic?

hahaha I am not angry about it so no worries, it is just a trend I have noticed that I seem to fall into both categories. Honestly I really don't care what style the people who look at my comic think it falls into. The only important thing to me is that they are seeing and looking at what I am putting out.

hahaha well I have a record that I have yet to have beaten. In 1 week I got turned down for a job because the company was looking for more of a cartoony and less anime style, and another job because they weren't looking for something cartoony but for something anime styled. All in the same week! BEAT THAT! :D

Publish through a publisher I don't think so, but as for something to take to cans and self print hells yes I am going to. I formatted it so I could print 2 books per 11x17 folded in half. So if you take a 11x17 (landscape) cut it down the middle horizontally then fold it in half you get the dimensions it would be :D

Yeah that happens to alot of cartoonist. lol. That's a good attitude to have about your work.I really don't care what people think of my style or who likes it.

Dang. I guess those companies weren't the ones and all in one week? Wow I can't beat that. The best I ever got was being hired as a cartoonist for Texas State, but then I had to leave. = (

So you're going to become an independent artist too? Good luck with that. = )

It's not that I don't care I do like to hear what different people think it allows me to try and tailor what I am drawing to what is most appropriate to what A client wants. In the end it isn't gonna matter to the people who read or look at it, it only matters to the person to they guy who is potentially holding your paycheck in his hand. And honestly I am kinda disappointed that there aren't more people who are vocal about hatting what I do, I don't know that I am having enough of a visual effect if I am not at least incurring angry wrath :)

Boooooo I hate when jobs go south that way, if I lose a job because I am not the right look or they find someone they like better well hell that's life. When the circumstances work to keep me out of a job that is heartbreaking :( But there is always more work so focusing on getting that is the only solution I have hit upon :)

hahaha well I have been working at it for 4-5 years now and I am payin my bills, and I still work for any studio willing to pay me to skratch an image or two out. But lord I know I am 6 months of a market down turn from destitution. So I think it would be better to go with good luck to us both! :D
